Job summary

Tassal Group is seeking an Apprentice Fitter for our Proserpine Prawn Farm, starting November 2026. You’ll learn from experienced tradespeople while working on machinery and equipment to keep the farm running daily.

You'll be trained through a nationally recognised trade qualification, with a Monday–Friday roster, weekends free, and opportunities to grow within Australia’s leading aquaculture company. Apply with your cover letter and resume to join a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Hands-on approach with machinery and equipment handling.
• Willingness to learn maintenance and repair processes.
• Ability to work in a team and follow safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Learn to service, maintain and repair a variety of machinery and equipment.
• Assist with fault finding and mechanical repairs.
• Work with experienced Fitters and learn from their knowledge.
• Support maintenance activities to keep operations running smoothly.
• Learn to use maintenance tools and systems safely.
