Job summary

Tassal Group in Proserpine, QLD, is hiring a casual Aquaculture Technician to join our Pond Operations Team at the Proserpine Prawn Farm. This full-time fixed-term contract runs until the end of March 2027, offering a lifestyle roster (2/2/3) amid the Whitsundays.

You’ll drive a light truck and a tractor with trailer to add minerals to ponds daily, support other farm tasks, and work with our farming teams while following health, safety and biosecurity standards.

Qualifications

• A current manual drivers’ licence.
• Forklift licence preferred but not essential.
• Front end loader licence preferred but not essential.
• Ability to work outdoors in hot, humid conditions.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Committed to safety and Zero Harm culture.

Responsibilities

• Drive around the site in a light truck and a tractor with trailer to add minerals daily.
• Prepare and drive a small truck.
• Operate an iPad for farm scheduling.
• Collaborate with the farming teams.
• Adhere to workplace health, safety and biosecurity procedures.
