Job summary

Tassal Group is seeking casual Farm Attendants to join our Mission Beach prawn farm. This hands-on outdoor role supports daily farm operations, prawn health, water quality, and record-keeping while offering career development within Australia’s leading seafood producer.

You will work across day, afternoon, night shifts and weekends, with a strong safety focus and a pathway to growth within the Tassal Group.

Qualifications

• Full working rights in Australia.
• Willing to pass pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screening.
• Hold a current driver's licence and have reliable transport to site.
• Forklift, backhoe, excavator or truck licences are advantageous but not essential.
• Tertiary qualifications in Aquaculture are desirable but not required.
• Comfortable with physical work in hot, humid environments.

Responsibilities

• Assist daily farm operations including pond remediation, feeding, aeration, water quality monitoring.
• Support prawn health assessments and biosecurity practices.
• Maintain accurate farm records using iPads and digital systems.
• Operate farm equipment (training provided; prior experience advantageous).
• Follow food safety, environmental and workplace safety protocols.
• Work across day, afternoon, night shifts and weekends per roster.
