Job summary

Rockpool Bar & Grill Melbourne is offering an Apprentice Chef position where you learn alongside qualified Chefs across all aspects of food preparation and presentation in a busy kitchen.

You’ll gain hands-on experience with seasonal ingredients, large-scale production and mentorship, with a pathway to the Certificate III in Commercial Cookery and opportunities across multiple venues.

Qualifications

• Apprenticeship pathway to a recognised Certificate III in Commercial Cookery.
• Must be motivated and have a passion for food and learning.
• Good communication and initiative in daily duties.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation, cooking and serving of dishes.
• Operate kitchen equipment such as mixers, choppers, fryers, steamers under supervision.
• Learn different knife and cooking techniques.
• Clean, maintain and store kitchen equipment appropriately.
