Job summary

MRAEL is seeking an eager Apprentice Chef to join the team at Kincumber Hotel. You will learn alongside qualified Chefs in a commercial kitchen, gaining hands-on experience in food preparation and presentation.

Working at one of our host venues, you’ll receive tailored training and specialist mentoring, with a pathway to the Certificate III in Commercial Cookery and a full uniform and toolkit provided.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated communication skills and willingness to learn.
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• No prior formal qualification required beyond apprenticeship prerequisites.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation, cooking and serving of dishes.
• Operate kitchen equipment under supervision (mixers, choppers, fryers, steamers).
• Learn knife skills and cooking techniques.
• Clean, maintain and store kitchen equipment appropriately.
