Job summary

RAC Karri Valley Resort in WA offers a full-time, three-year Apprenticeship for an Apprentice Chef. You’ll work with seasoned Chefs in our Lakeside Restaurant and complete studies through South Regional TAFE - Margaret River one day per week (excluding breaks).

This program lets you earn while you learn, with free onsite accommodation and hands‑on mentoring in a bustling kitchen, guiding your growth within the RAC hospitality group.

Qualifications

• Year 10 completion or higher.
• Legal eligibility to work and study in Australia.
• Current driver’s licence and reliable transport.

Responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation and cooking across breakfast, lunch and dinner services.
• Learn commercial cookery techniques and kitchen operations from experienced Chefs.
• Support menu preparation, stock control and inventory management.
• Maintain high standards of food safety, cleanliness and kitchen hygiene.
• Prepare ingredients and assist during busy service periods.
• Follow recipes and procedures to ensure quality and consistency.
• Participate in apprenticeship and TAFE training requirements.

RAC Karri Valley Resort is located in the beautiful Southwest region of WA, approximately 3.5 hours from Perth and 15 minutes from Pemberton. Nestled on the edge of Lake Beedelup and surrounded by Karri forest within Beedelup National Park, it’s the perfect place to live, learn and launch your culinary career.

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Apprentice Chef to join our team on a full-time, three-year apprenticeship. Working alongside experienced Chefs in our busy Lakeside Restaurant, you’ll gain hands‑on experience across all aspects of a commercial kitchen while completing your studies through South Regional TAFE - Margaret River one day per week (excluding semester breaks).

What will you be doing?

As an Apprentice Chef, you’ll learn the foundations of commercial cookery while helping deliver exceptional dining experiences to our guests.
