Job summary

RAC Karri Valley Resort is seeking a Grounds & Maintenance Manager to lead a small team and hands-on maintain the resort’s gardens, facilities and infrastructure. The role offers on-site accommodation and a permanent full-time position in WA’s iconic Southwest.

You will plan maintenance, manage budgets and coordinate contractors while ensuring safety and guest satisfaction across a unique natural setting. Weekend availability and a relevant trade qualification are desirable.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar grounds, maintenance or facilities management role.
• Proven ability to lead, motivate and support a team.
• Strong knowledge of gardening, landscaping and general property maintenance.
• Experience maintaining machinery, tools and equipment.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and work in a dynamic environment.
• Strong communication skills and a guest-focused mindset.
• Certificate III in Horticulture, Resort Operations or a relevant trade qualification (desirable).
• Current Driver's Licence.
• Senior First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain).
• Willingness to obtain a National Police Check.
• Availability to work weekends, public holidays and respond to occasional callouts.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the Grounds & Maintenance team, including recruitment, training and performance management.
• Maintain the gardens, grounds and landscaping to a high standard.
• Plan and manage preventative maintenance programs across resort facilities and accommodation.
• Coordinate and supervise contractors completing maintenance work on site.
• Carry out general maintenance, repairs and upkeep of buildings, plant and equipment.
• Maintain and service machinery, tools and vehicles across the property.
• Monitor and maintain resort infrastructure, including water, wastewater and other essential systems.
• Oversee pool testing and maintenance to ensure compliance and guest safety.
• Ensure compliance with Workplace Health & Safety procedures and safe work practices.
• Work closely with Resort Management and other departments to deliver an outstanding guest experience.
• Manage maintenance budgets, supplies and equipment within operational guidelines.
• Participate in an after-hours on-call roster and attend callouts as required.

We are seeking an experienced Grounds & Maintenance Manager to join our team in a full-time permanent role. Leading our Grounds & Maintenance team, you will ensure the resort's gardens, grounds, facilities and infrastructure are maintained to the highest standard, creating an exceptional experience for our guests.

What will you be doing?
