Job summary

Cognizant Australia is seeking an Application Specialist to triage cases, troubleshoot and resolve software issues while delivering exceptional customer service. The role includes upgrades, migrations, product installations, and integration services across networks, databases, servers and workstations.

You will apply .NET, SQL, Azure and JavaScript skills in a healthcare environment, document activities, escalate when needed, and collaborate with product management to drive improvements.

Qualifications

• Experience in healthcare domain and complex troubleshooting in technical support.
• Strong skills in C#, .Net Framework 4.8, WPF, .Net Core 3.1 and SQL.
• Proficient in Delphi and Firebird databases.

Responsibilities

• Triages incoming cases, troubleshoots, analyzes issues, and proposes solutions while delivering excellent customer experience.
• Owns and resolves complex issues within SLA; implements upgrades, migrations and installations.
• Performs backup, recovery, and security/integrity controls for systems.
• Tests databases and upgrades, debugs, logs, and tracks problems per QA scripts.
• Troubleshoots server hardware/software, workstations, and network components.
• Maintains documentation, policies, and operational procedures logs.
• Records all actions in case notes and communicates progress to customers.
• Escalates to Level 3 when beyond current skillset; coordinates with teams.
• Provides feedback to training and product management to improve knowledge base.
