Job summary

Uber is seeking a Strategy & Planning Lead for APAC Delivery Central in Sydney. You will lead a six-person team across Governance & Planning, Strategic Initiatives & Growth Bets, and Market Intelligence, establishing standards and rhythms for APAC delivery and country teams.

You will drive high-priority strategic bets, coordinate cross-APAC prioritisation, and partner with senior leaders to allocate resources and shape regional strategy.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in strategy, operations, or consultancy with a track record of leading large-scale initiatives.
• Experience mentoring and developing high-performing teams.
• Advanced problem-solving skills for complex issues in fast-paced environments.
• Exceptional communication and storytelling to convey ideas clearly.
• Proven ability to influence senior leaders and drive decisions.
• Strong business and financial acumen with analytical skills.
• Genuine interest and understanding of the online food delivery industry and Uber's strategy.
• Structured project management with attention to detail.
• Collaborative with cross-functional business leaders.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a six-person team across Governance & Planning, Strategic Initiatives & Growth Bets, and Market Intelligence.
• Establish end-to-end APAC delivery governance and planning cycles.
• Own data-to-insights generation for competition and market intelligence.
• Incubate and assess top strategic initiatives as they emerge.
• Build cross-APAC prioritisation with sizing and go-to-market planning.
• Drive APAC geographic prioritisation and allocate capital with insights.
• Manage headcount governance and efficient processes.
• Define roles/responsibilities between central and country S&P teams.
• Synthesize inputs from operations, product, finance, and country GMs into clear recommendations.
