Job summary

Uber APAC Direct is seeking a senior strategist to own regional reliability strategy and performance, shaping the Direct product roadmap and cross‑functional initiatives across Operations, Product and Data Science.

You will partner with country teams, lead complex programs, and build a regional Centre of Excellence to scale best practices across APAC.

This role requires 7+ years of strategy/operations experience, strong stakeholder management, and hands‑on delivery in a fast‑paced marketplace.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in strategy, operations or business management – 7+ years operating in complex, fast-paced environments with measurable outcomes.
• Strong strategic problem-solving skills – able to navigate ambiguity and translate strategies into executable plans.
• High degree of ownership and initiative – proactively identify opportunities and drive improvements from problem to implementation.
• Exceptional stakeholder management and influence – build trusted relationships across senior, cross-functional teams.
• Strong commercial and marketplace acumen – understand trade-offs between reliability, growth, cost and experience.
• End-to-end program leadership – lead complex, cross-functional initiatives from strategy through execution.
• Ability to operate at multiple altitudes – balance strategic direction with operational detail.

Responsibilities

• Own APAC Direct reliability strategy and performance across Uber Direct.
• Set regional Direct product strategy and roadmap reflecting APAC priorities.
• Lead launch and scaling of new products across APAC in-market execution.
• Partner with Local Marketplace and Central Pods to integrate Direct requirements.
• Establish regional reliability governance using data to identify gaps and interventions.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives spanning Operations, Product, Data Science, Finance and more.
• Drive continuous optimisation of the Direct marketplace for reliability and economics.
• Build and lead the APAC Direct Centre of Excellence with scalable playbooks.
• Act as a senior regional SME for Uber Direct and represent APAC in forums.
