Job summary

Wood is seeking a Proposals Development Senior Manager to lead the APAC Proposals team on a permanent basis. You will collaborate with senior BD leaders, regional operations, and commercial teams to deliver high-quality proposals for the Asia-Pacific region.

The role manages proposal resources, drives governance, and ensures timely bid delivery while promoting continuous improvement and talent development across regional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Business, Marketing, Communications, Journalism or related field preferred.
• Minimum 10 years’ experience leading and managing the Proposal Development process in a complex client-focused environment.
• Experience managing a functional area, large department, or geographically dispersed team.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Regional Business Development SVPs and leaders to develop high-quality, winning proposals.
• Ensure an effective team structure to meet regional proposal and business development needs.
• Provide leadership, coaching, and support to Proposals Development Managers on workloads and performance.
• Drive compliance with proposal processes, governance, win planning, and reviews.
• Ensure team members complete required training and maintain competency in proposal management.
• Lead talent management activities including recruitment, performance management, succession planning, and promotions.
• Coordinate resource allocation across regions to meet bid schedules.
• Lead win-planning sessions, colour team reviews, and management reviews for strategic pursuits.
• Maintain and improve proposal content libraries (profiles, resumes, case studies, boilerplate).
• Foster collaboration across Business Development, Operations, Commercial and other stakeholders to improve quality and win rates.
• Promote continuous improvement and knowledge sharing within the Proposals Development team.
• Comply with Wood Code of Business Conduct and all mandatory policies.
