Job summary

TAG Group in Sydney is seeking a Credit Controller to own collections across our APAC portfolio, collaborating with Finance, Account Management and Operations to reduce overdue debt and secure payment commitments.

You'll lead testing and automation initiatives as we transform credit control processes, with a path to lead the APAC team once new systems are in place. The role is full-time and hybrid, located in Sydney.

Qualifications

• Three+ years in credit control or accounts receivable with direct collections responsibility.
• Experience reducing overdue debt and resolving challenging accounts.
• Hands-on approach with ownership and follow-through.
• Confident communication and negotiation; sound judgement on escalation.
• Strong reconciliation and problem-solving; attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Own your collections: Manage your portfolio, prioritise overdue accounts and secure payment commitments.
• Get accounts moving: Investigate discrepancies, reconcile balances and resolve issues delaying payment.
• Build relationships that work: Engage confidently with clients and partner with internal teams to achieve results.
• Stay ahead of risk: Monitor aged debt, payment terms and credit limits; escalate with clear recommendations.
• Keep the detail right: Prepare statements and debtor reporting, allocate payments and maintain records.
• Help deliver the transformation: Support system testing, data validation, automation and process improvements.
• Make improvements stick: Document procedures and embed consistent ways of working.
