Job summary

NorthStone Talent Partners in Sydney is seeking a meticulous Accounts Payable/Receivable Officer to manage AP/AR cycles for the Australian entity, including invoicing, billing, payment processing and reconciliations. You will join a team of four Accounts Officers within a finance department of more than 10 staff, collaborating with local teams and the China head office.

Qualifications

• Experience in AP, AR, settlements or reconciliation within a commercial environment.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in Excel and accounting software or ERP systems.
• Mandarin and English language proficiency is highly regarded.
• Degree/education in accounting or finance.

Responsibilities

• Managing AP and AR activities, including invoice processing, billing, payment allocation, account follow-ups and reconciliation
• Coordinating and verifying settlements with customers, suppliers, transport partners and other counterparties within agreed timelines
• Coordinating payment runs and ensuring payments are processed accurately and in line with internal approval procedures
• Conducting bank, customer, supplier and settlement reconciliations, and resolving discrepancies and payment variances
• Preparing routine reports on receivables, payables, settlements and outstanding transactions
• Supporting month end close with accurate records, schedules and documentation
• Liaising with the China head office on financial transactions, settlement matters and reporting requirements
• Maintaining audit trails, following financial controls and identifying opportunities to improve accuracy and efficiency
