Southern Cross Austereo Pty in Griffith, NSW, is seeking a confident and creative Hit Workday Announcer to host regional shifts and deliver local content that resonates with our audience.

You will work closely with the Content Director to ensure the station's objectives are met through engaging on-air delivery, strategic planning, and strong local communication across our channels, including social and digital. Flexible shifts and community engagement are part of the role.

Qualifications

• Experience as a radio announcer or host.
• Comfort with music scheduling and on-air duties.
• Familiarity with Zetta and broadcasting standards.

Responsibilities

• Host Hit Workday shifts from Griffith studios and deliver local content.
• Create engaging on-air content and connect with listeners online and in the community.
• Collaborate with the Content Director to meet station objectives and plan content.
• Fill in shifts as needed and maintain a strong on-air presence.

We’re on the hunt for a confident and creativeAnnouncerto host ourHIT Workdayshift in regional NSW. Based in our office in Griffith, you’ll craft compelling local content, keep the music rolling, and connect with our audience on air, online, and in the community.

A Day in the Life?

AsHit Workday Announcer,you’ll host shifts from our Griffith studios and will be responsible for delivering compelling local and well targeted engaging content to our listeners.

In this role, you will work closely with theContent Directorto ensure the station's strategic objectives are achieved through excellent local communication, effective tactical planning/execution and on air work that makes you stand out. You should embrace the Hit brand and lifestyle though our many content outlets, including; on-air, social and digital.

You may be required to fill in shifts when staff are on leave.

What You’ll Need

• Be passionate about our Hit audience and it’s music!
• Be competent with commercial radio music scheduling experience.
• Have knowledge of Zetta.
• Have an understanding of CRA's Codes of Practice and Broadcasting Standards.
• Proficiency in driving the panel and being pro-active in all facets of your role to take your own career to the next level.
• Enjoy popular culture, social media, current affairs and local events; with a passion for taking content to the next level, both on air and on digital!
• A reliable, hardworking and results driven individual who's able to multitask and perform effectively under pressure
• A distinctive on air presence that naturally appeals to our listeners and a burning desire to be heard!
