Job summary

Southern Cross Austereo in Sydney is seeking a Casual Assistant Network Operations Coordinator to join the Sydney Network Operations team. You’ll provide first-line technical support to on-air, in-studio, and remote staff across the country, on a rotating roster.

You’ll troubleshoot incidents, monitor systems and assist with upgrades, documentation, and projects. This is an entry-level tech role ideal for someone starting a career in media technology and broadcasting.

• Can demonstrate a desire and commitment to the achievement of an Engineering or IT qualification
• A demonstrated understanding of customer focus when dealing on an interpersonal level with internal customers
• A passion for Radio and Broadcast Media
• Demonstrates a passion and aptitude for Technology, Audio, Broadcast and IT

Responsibilities

• You’ll be part of the team that keeps Southern Cross Austereo on air and running smoothly, around the clock.
• Working on a rotating roster - including early starts, late finishes and overnight shifts - you'll provide first-line technical support to teams across the country, troubleshooting issues, monitoring systems and keeping our studios and business systems performing at their best.
• From responding to incidents and escalating issues where needed, to assisting with upgrades, documentation and projects, you’ll be hands-on, detail-focused and calm under pressure.

About the Team & Office

Join our Sydney Network Operations team as a Casual Assistant Network Operations Coordinator, where no two shifts are the same and your work genuinely keeps the business moving. You’ll be part of the team behind the scenes, providing responsive, customer-focused technical support that helps our people do their best work - whether they're on air, in studio or working remotely.
You'll be based in our Sydney office, right in the thick of it - steps from great coffee, easy transport and some of the city's best lunch spots (and post-work snacks).

A day in the life?
