Job summary

Salexo Consulting is seeking an experienced Internal Sales professional to join the Sydney team. This role goes beyond answering phones and processing orders, focusing on building relationships, handling inquiries, and preparing quotes to keep the sales office running smoothly.

You will manage workload, solve problems, and take ownership in a busy environment, supporting cross-functional teams and contributing to ongoing customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Experience in internal sales, customer service or a similar position.
• Confident communication and customer service skills.
• Good computer skills and the ability to learn new systems.
• Strong attention to detail and accurate data entry.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a busy environment.
• Willingness to learn the product range.
• Experience in aluminium, building products or construction supply would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Handle customer enquiries by phone and email
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships
• Prepare quotes and assist with product enquiries
• Process orders accurately and efficiently
• Follow up quotes and outstanding sales opportunities
• Liaise with sales, warehouse, operations and delivery teams
• Assist customers with product and technical questions
• Maintain accurate customer and order records
• Look for opportunities to grow existing customer accounts
• Support the wider sales team with daily tasks
• Provide prompt and reliable customer service
• Follow through on customer issues until they are resolved
