Job summary

First Choice Care is seeking an Early Morning Allocator to own the first hours of the day, covering 6:00am–10:00am, Monday to Friday, Sydney time. This casual position involves managing sick calls, sourcing replacement nurses and ensuring facilities receive the promised care.

You'll work from your own quiet home office, using computers and rostering systems, and will join an established nursing agency that supports its team from day one. Flexible mornings suit study or family commitments.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of healthcare and its compliance requirements.
• Confident making quick decisions and speaking with facilities and nurses.
• Stay level-headed when several things need fixing at once.
• Self-motivated and comfortable working independently in the early hours.
• Communicate clearly and kindly, even when time is tight.
• Energy, initiative and a genuine eagerness to help.
• Confident with computers and pick up new skills and systems quickly.
• Own your quiet work-from-home setup with reliable internet.
• Rostering, scheduling or allocations experience in nursing or healthcare is a plus.

Are you the calm in the storm?

At 6am, the phones start ringing. A nurse is unwell, a shift is suddenly uncovered, and a client is counting on us to show up. That’s where you come in. First Choice Care is a nursing agency placing nurses within healthcare facilities. We’re looking for an Early Morning Allocator to own those first few hours of the day: managing sick calls, finding replacement cover, and making sure every facility gets the care it’s been promised.

What you’ll be doing

• Taking sick calls and last-minute changes from 6:00am
• Quickly finding and confirming replacement nurses so no facility is left short
• Keeping facilities and nurses informed when changes happen
• Updating rosters and records accurately as you go
• From 8:00am, as the wider team logs on, supporting with administration tasks as needed
