Job summary

Zurich in Australia is seeking an AI Engineer to join the ML/AI Engineering chapter. You will help build agentic AI capabilities across the engineering lifecycle, creating reusable services and patterns that improve safety, speed, and reliability of AI delivery in a regulated environment.

This hands‑on role partners with product, design and engineering to translate customer needs into deployable AI capabilities, with a focus on secure APIs and DevSecOps practices throughout the lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Production experience building AI agents using modern frameworks and tooling.
• Experience designing and operating AI/ML systems in production environments.
• Strong AWS engineering capabilities across core services and security patterns.
• Proven track record in delivering scalable, secure AI solutions.

Responsibilities

• Deliver production‑grade agentic AI solutions across discovery, experimentation, design, build and operation.
• Apply and improve reusable engineering patterns and guardrails for AI delivery.
• Implement evaluation, observability and cost‑management frameworks for AI systems.
• Design secure APIs and interfaces that connect LLMs with core enterprise systems.
• Embed DevSecOps, automated testing and secure‑by‑design practices throughout the AI lifecycle.
• Partner with product, design and engineers to translate customer needs into deployable AI capability.
