Job summary

Zurich Insurance Company is seeking a Senior AI Engineer to lead the design, build, and operation of production-grade agentic AI solutions. You will shape AI services, establish guardrails, and collaborate across squads to deliver secure, observable, scalable AI capabilities.

You will work with LangGraph, AWS Strands, AgentCore, and Model Context Protocol, applying best practices in CI/CD, security, and data protection. Hybrid work in Sydney is offered.

Qualifications

• Significant software engineering experience in AI or LLM-based systems in production.
• Experience designing and operating AI agents with modern frameworks and protocols.
• Strong AWS engineering capabilities across services and IaC tooling.
• Full-stack capability with TypeScript/Node.js/Python and frontend React/Next.js.
• Experience designing REST/GraphQL APIs with secure auth patterns.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate production-grade agentic AI solutions.
• Create reusable AI services, reference patterns, and guardrails for squads.
• Establish observability, cost controls, and evaluation pipelines for quality.
