Job summary

Westpac Group is seeking an Engineer Agent Ops to help shape how AI is built, deployed and operated at scale. You will work alongside senior engineers to create and run enterprise AI capabilities that power secure, scalable AI adoption across the bank.

You’ll build and support AI and LLM operations capabilities, contribute to APIs, cloud infrastructure, automation and production support, and collaborate across engineering disciplines in a full-time hybrid role based in Sydney or Melbourne.

Qualifications

• Experience building applications, integrations or cloud infrastructure as part of a team.
• Working knowledge of APIs, CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code, containers and monitoring tools.
• Understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure, along with Kubernetes environments.
• Experience coding, scripting, testing and troubleshooting software solutions.
• Curiosity and enthusiasm for AI technologies including LLMs, agents, RAG and model integrations.

Responsibilities

• Build and support AI and LLM operations capabilities across platforms, products and services.
• Contribute to application development, cloud engineering, automation, testing and production support.
• Develop APIs and integrations, support cloud infrastructure, monitoring and observability.
• Collaborate with senior engineers to deliver reliable and secure AI solutions.
