Job summary

Downer Professional Services is seeking an experienced Agile Lead to coach and empower agile delivery teams within a major Defence Digital Group program. You will drive continuous improvement, enable predictable delivery, and collaborate with Product Owners and leadership to achieve critical outcomes in a large-scale ICT environment.

You will guide teams through agile practices, facilitate PI and iteration planning, and help remove impediments while reporting on progress and maturity.

Qualifications

• Solid experience supporting Agile product delivery teams within complex ICT environments.
• Facilitating Agile ceremonies and enabling high-performing delivery teams.
• Proven ability to coach teams, leaders and stakeholders in Agile principles.
• Experience managing delivery risks, dependencies and impediments.
• Strong stakeholder engagement, communication and influencing skills.
• Experience using Agile metrics and reporting to improve delivery outcomes.
• Experience working within Australian Federal Government environments.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver outcomes in complex and time-constrained settings.
• Extensive experience leading multidisciplinary ICT teams.
• Experience working within SAFe Agile Release Trains (ARTs).
• Experience supporting large-scale Agile transformation and delivery environments.
• Experience working with Product Owners, Product Managers and delivery leadership teams.
• Demonstrated success fostering collaborative, high-performing team cultures.

Responsibilities

• Guide teams in the adoption and continuous improvement of agile practices to enable high-performing delivery.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, delivery teams, leadership and stakeholders for successful program outcomes.
• Coach, mentor and support agile teams in applying agile principles and ways of working.
• Identify and remove delivery impediments and manage dependencies for smooth flow of work.
• Develop and maintain delivery metrics to provide insights into team performance and maturity.
• Foster collaboration across teams and governance forums to support program delivery.
• Contribute to organisational agile capability uplift through mentoring and Communities of Practice.
• Support prioritisation, planning and delivery transparency with Product Owners and teams.
• Drive effective communication and stakeholder engagement throughout the delivery lifecycle.
