Job summary

Uniting is seeking a dedicated Support Worker for home care across the Cabonne Shire Council area. You will visit older clients in their homes to provide care, companionship and practical support to help maintain independence.

The role involves travel in your own vehicle, a stable part-time schedule, and opportunities for development within a supportive multidisciplinary team. Benefits include travel time and kilometres reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Aged Care or equivalent preferred.
• Current First Aid certificate required.
• Drivers licence and access to a comprehensively insured vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Help at home: housekeeping, grocery shopping or meal preparation.
• Personal care: hygiene, toileting, showering, dressing, mealtime support or medication administration.
• Transport: accompanies clients to appointments or shopping trips.
• Social and wellbeing: accompany clients on outings or assist with Healthy Living for Seniors activities.

  What youll be doing in this role

  
  

  AtUnitingwe call our Home Care Workers, 'Support Workers'. In this role, youll provide care and companionship for older people living in their own homes, to help empower their independence and improve their quality of life in theCabonne Shire Council area. Youll be required to travel to clients homes and communities, using your own car.

  
  

  With a focus on supporting our clients to stay independent in their own homes for as long as possible, duties and responsibilities can include:
