Job summary

Uniting on the Central Coast is seeking a compassionate Home Care Worker to support older people in their own homes. You will provide care and companionship, promote independence, and travel to client homes using your own car.

This part-time role offers stable shifts, development opportunities, and a supportive multidisciplinary team. You will perform light housekeeping, personal care, transport to appointments, and social activities in the clients' communities.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Aged Care or equivalent is preferred.
• Current First Aid certificate is required or advantageous.
• Driver's licence and access to a insured vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Help at home with housekeeping, groceries or meals.
• Provide personal care such as hygiene, toileting and feeding assistance.
• Transport clients to appointments or activities.
• Support social and wellbeing activities and community outings.

What youll be doing in this role

AtUnitingwe call our Home Care Workers, 'Support Workers'. In this role, youll provide care and companionship for older people living in their own homes, to help empower their independence and improve their quality of life in theCentral Coast. Youll be required to travel to clients homes and communities, using your own car.

With a focus on supporting our clients to stay independent in their own homes for as long as possible, duties and responsibilities can include:

• Help at home:housekeeping, grocery shopping or meal preparation
• Personal Care:personal hygiene, toileting, showering, dressing, help at mealtime or medication administration
• Transport:appointments or shopping trips
• Social and wellbeing:accompany clients on outings or assist with our Healthy Living for Seniors activities

Qualifications and experience:

• Certificate III in Aged Care or Individual equivalent an advantage
• Similar experience providing client centred careCurrent First Aid certificate
• Drivers licence and access to a comprehensively insured vehicle
