Job summary

Resthaven On Quarry is seeking a Part-Time Support Services Kitchen Hand to provide catering, cleaning and laundry across our aged care home. You will build strong relationships with residents, families and care staff, contributing to resident choice and a strong sense of home in line with our values supporting their quality of life.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar role, preferably within an Aged Care setting (not essential)
• Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
• Currently hold an NDIS Check (or willing to obtain)
• Empathetic and caring approach to our Residents
• Understanding of Resident Rights, Aged Care Accreditation Standards and Outcomes highly regarded but not essential

Responsibilities

• Preparation and presentation of dietary services, including meals and drinks
• Assisting the chef with meal preparation, cleaning and general kitchen duties
• Distribution of meals to residents & dining room services
• All aspects of cleaning throughout the resident rooms and facility
• Completing required documentation and reporting
• Ensure handwashing supplies are available and replenished
• Contribute to an effective laundry service including item checking & labeling
