Job summary

Eureka Villages in Hervey Bay is seeking a Kitchen Hand to support our Chef and village team, ensuring nutritious, home-style meals and a clean, welcoming kitchen for residents.

You will work Sunday to Thursday, five hours per day, 25 hours weekly, with a consistent roster and friendly team.

Previous kitchen or hospitality experience and a Food Handling Certificate are valued; training is provided, and you'll contribute to residents' wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Must have awareness of food hygiene and safe handling practices.
• Reliable and organized with ability to follow procedures.
• Willingness to work as part of a team in a village setting.

Responsibilities

• Assisting the Chef with meal preparation and service
• Washing dishes, utensils and kitchen equipment
• Cleaning and sanitising food preparation and dining areas
• Supporting the safe storage, labelling and rotation of food
• Following food safety, WHS and chemical handling procedures
• Engaging positively and respectfully with residents and contributing to a welcoming village environment
