Job summary

Estia Health in Victoria is seeking a friendly Kitchen Assistant to join our aged care teams. You’ll help prep food, keep the kitchen clean, and support menu changes to meet residents’ preferences. You’ll work closely with our cooks and care staff to deliver meals with care and consistency.

We value genuine compassion, good time management, and reliability. Experience in kitchen work is preferred and completion of a Basic Food Handling Course is desirable.

Qualifications

• Experience in kitchen work and a passion for aged care.
• Strong time management and planning skills.
• Demonstrated reliability and teamwork.
• Completion of Basic Food Handling Course preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepping food and drinks for residents and staff.
• Cleaning and dishwashing to maintain a tidy kitchen.
• Assist with menu changes and resident meal preferences.
• Keep records as part of the Food Safety Program.
• Be on your feet and active during shifts.
