Job summary

Estia Health is seeking a hands-on kitchen assistant in our aged care community to help prepare meals, keep the kitchen clean, and support residents with appetites and preferences. You’ll work with the team to craft meals that suit individual tastes and nutritional needs.

You will maintain records as part of the Food Safety Program and stay active on your feet for most of your shift. A real desire to make a difference is essential, with kitchen experience and Basic Food Handling training

Qualifications

• Experience in kitchen work (aged care is a bonus).
• Great time management and planning skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepping food and drink.
• Cleaning (including dishes).
• Changing up the menu with residents and team.
• Keeping records as part of our Food Safety Program.
• Being active and on your feet for most of your shift.
