Job summary

Estia Health in Melbourne is seeking a Casual Kitchen Assistant to support daily food preparation and dining services for our residents. You will collaborate with a friendly team to create meals, maintain high hygiene standards, and contribute to a warm, caring environment.

We value genuine care for residents, reliable time management, and a positive, team-oriented approach. Prior kitchen exposure and the Basic Food Handling Course are preferred for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated kitchen experience and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to manage time and coordinate tasks effectively.
• Willingness to work with residents and adapt menus to individual needs.
• Completed Basic Food Handling Course is required.

Responsibilities

• Prepping food and drinks as part of daily kitchen operations.
• Cleaning duties including dishes and maintaining a tidy workspace.
• Assist in menu changes with staff and residents to suit preferences.
• Keep records as part of the Food Safety Program.
• Stay active and on your feet for most of the shift.
