Job summary

Estia Health is seeking a motivated kitchen assistant to support daily meal preparation for our residents across aged care homes. You will help prepare food and drinks, ensure clean kitchens, and collaborate with the team to update menus that meet individual needs.

The role requires good time management, reliability, and a genuine desire to improve residents’ wellbeing. Prior kitchen experience and a Basic Food Handling Certificate are valued assets.

Qualifications

• Experience in kitchen work; aged care experience is a bonus.
• Excellent time management and planning skills.
• Completed the Basic Food Handling Course.
• A genuine desire to make a difference in residents' lives.

Responsibilities

• Prepping food and drinks for residents.
• Maintaining cleanliness and dishwashing duties.
• Updating menus with the team to suit residents' preferences.
• Keeping records as part of the Food Safety Program.
• Staying active and on your feet throughout shifts.
