Job summary

Estia Health in New South Wales is looking for a kitchen assistant to support daily meal preparation for our residents. You will help with food prep, service, cleaning, and contribute to a warm dining experience while following food safety procedures.

You will work on your feet during shifts, complete the Basic Food Handling Course, and collaborate with a friendly team to deliver meals that meet individual needs.

Qualifications

• Experience in kitchen work, especially in aged care (bonus).
• Ability to follow recipes and adapt menus for individuals.
• Strong teamwork and communication with residents and staff.

Responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation and beverage service for residents.
• Support kitchen cleanliness and dishwashing duties.
• Help update and adapt menus with resident preferences.
• Keep accurate records as part of the Food Safety Program.
• Stand for extended periods and be active during shifts.
