Job summary

Estia Health is seeking a kitchen assistant to prepare meals for residents and support daily kitchen operations in our aged care homes. You will help with food prep, cleaning, and maintaining the Food Safety Program, while working closely with staff and residents to ensure meals meet individual needs.

The role requires energy, good time management, and a genuine desire to make a difference in residents’ lives. Experience in aged care is a bonus, and training is provided where needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in kitchen work; aged care experience is a bonus.
• Completed the Basic Food Handling Course.
• Strong time management and planning abilities.
• Desire to make a difference in residents’ lives.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food and drinks for residents and staff.
• Keep the kitchen clean and maintain hygiene standards.
• Assist with menu changes in collaboration with the team.
• Maintain records as part of the Food Safety Program.
• Be active and on your feet during shifts.
