Job summary

Uniting is seeking a Team Manager to lead the Client Contracts Officer Team across Newcastle and Unanderra. You will oversee contract preparation, approvals and resident admissions, while guiding a remote/hybrid team and coordinating with Finance and external stakeholders.

The role focuses on ensuring accurate documentation, regulatory compliance and efficient processes, with monthly travel between sites and strong leadership across dispersed teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years in the residential aged care sector.
• Proven team leadership, including remote or hybrid management.
• Experience in aged care administration, resident admissions, contracts or financial processes.
• Knowledge of aged care regulatory requirements and Medicare subsidy claims.
• Strong customer service supporting residents, families and authorised representatives.
• Excellent attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver operational outcomes.
• Willingness to travel between Newcastle and Unanderra monthly; expenses covered.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Client Contract Officer team and the Client Residential Support Officer.
• Oversee preparation, negotiation and issuance of residency agreements and bed movement docs.
• Ensure admission/residency docs are accurate and timely within regulatory timeframes.
• Support financial/contractual discussions with residents and representatives.
• Oversee accommodation payments, lump sums, resident fees, and related matters with Finance.
• Guide Service Managers on bed offers, vacancies, movements and admissions.
• Maintain current processes and docs aligned with legislation and policy.
• Monitor performance, workload and service standards to meet deadlines.
• Lead a geographically dispersed workforce across locations with hybrid/remote arrangements.
• Travel monthly to support leadership and strengthen relations.
• Identify process improvements to streamline workflows and compliance.
• Promote use of systems and standardized processes for efficiency.
