Job summary

Calvary Ryde Retirement Community is seeking a dedicated Leisure and Lifestyle Officer to design and implement engaging programs for residents. You will create activities that enhance autonomy, independence and quality of life in a welcoming, mission-driven environment.

Applicants should hold a Leisure & Lifestyle qualification with First Aid, have experience with frail or cognitively impaired individuals, and possess a NSW Driver's Licence.

Qualifications

• Leisure & Lifestyle Certificate Level IV or other relevant qualification.
• Current First Aid Certificate.
• Experience planning, implementing and evaluating activities for frail people with cognitive impairment and disabilities.
• Ability to document assessments, care plans and progress notes.
• Sensitivity to residents' needs and interests.
• Current NSW Driver's Licence.
• Desire to join a mission-based care team.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and implement special programs for residents.
• Conduct programs to support autonomy and independence.
• Create a fun and relaxing environment for residents.
• Contribute to a friendly, multi-cultural community at Calvary Ryde Retirement Community.
