Allied Express is seeking an experienced Afternoon Shift Operations Supervisor for our Melbourne PM Shift operation based in Broadmeadows. You will coordinate daily freight and warehouse movements, lead a team of drivers and staff, and ensure service standards and safety compliance across the depot.

The role reports to the PM Operations Manager and focuses on improving efficiency, workforce planning, and operational reporting while maintaining exceptional customer service within a fast-paced

• Previous supervisory experience in transport, freight, logistics, warehousing or distribution.
• Strong understanding of operational workflows and depot operations.
• Solid knowledge of freight handling, warehousing, and loading/unloading practices.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong planning, organizational and problem-solving abilities.

Afternoon Shift Operations Supervisor - Freight & Logistics

Allied Express is looking for an experienced and hands-on Supervisor to join our Melbourne PM Shift operation based in Broadmeadows.

This is a key leadership role responsible for coordinating daily operational activities, managing freight and warehouse movements, maintaining service standards, and ensuring the safe and efficient flow of freight throughout our network. You will work closely with freight handlers and fellow supervisors to deliver exceptional operational outcomes.

About the Role

Reporting to the PM Operations Manager, you will be responsible for:

• Supervising daily operational activities to ensure service commitments are achieved
• Coordinating inbound and outbound freight movements and supporting efficient freight flow throughout the depot
• Monitoring operational performance and proactively resolving service and operational issues
• Leading, coaching, and supporting drivers, contractors, and operational staff
• Ensuring compliance with company policies, Chain of Responsibility (CoR) obligations, and safety procedures
• Identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, productivity, and service performance
• Assisting with workforce planning, scheduling, and operational reporting
• Supporting warehouse, freight handling, and loading operations as required

About You

Sound computer skills, including Microsoft Office and operational management systems

Successful completion of a police check and medical assessment (paid for by Allied)

Shift: Monday to Friday, commencing at 2:00pm
