Job summary

MRL Global in Melbourne seeks an AM Operations Supervisor to lead on-site teams, ensuring safe, efficient linehaul operations and compliance with OHS. You will coordinate daily plans with the Operations Manager, allocate drivers, oversee loading of linehaul units and the PUD fleet, and ensure weight distribution and load restraint.

The role requires hands-on leadership, forklift operation experience, a valid licence, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced logistics environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of transport industry experience.
• Forklift Licence (LF) with 2+ years experience.
• Experience unloading PUD fleet and loading linehaul units.
• Knowledge of legal weight distribution.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with OHS requirements.
• Develop with the Operations Manager and communicate the daily linehaul plan.
• Ensure staff load linehaul units and the PUD fleet with proper weight distribution and load restraint.
• Driver Allocation duties and administration as required.
• Have a valid Drivers Licence and own vehicle to travel to and from work.
• Forklift operation experience, long tynes preferred.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Physically fit for manual lifting tasks.
• Detail oriented and team-focused.
• Sound computer knowledge – Outlook/Office and TMS systems.

We require a skilled, motivated and experiencedAMOperations Supervisor to join an established company that is making waves.

This is a hands-on leadership role, and the ideal candidate should show initiative and core objectives include but not limited to:

Ensure you are compliant with OHS requirements.

Develop with the Operations Manager and communicate clearly with staff members the daily linehaul plan and requirements.

Responsible for ensuring that staff on your shift correctly load linehaul units and the PUD fleet, with proper weight distribution and load restraint.

Driver Allocation duties and administration as required

Valid Drivers Licence and own vehicle to drive to and from work

Forklift operation experience, with the ability to operate a variety of forklift types. Long tynes experience preferred.

Able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Physically fit to be able to endure the manual lifting tasks

Your Schedule

Working hours: Monday to Friday 5am to 1pm

Qualifications

Transport Industry experience 2+ years

Forklift Licence / LF with 2 or more years’ experience

Have experience unloading PUD fleet with general and oversized freight

Experience loading linehaul units

Sound knowledge of legal weight distribution
