BSONS Group Pty Ltd in Melbourne is seeking a part-time Accounts Administrator to manage day-to-day accounting and financial administration across our growing group of businesses. The role requires hands-on bookkeeping experience and the ability to work independently, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in key tasks.
Responsibilities include payroll processing, bank reconciliations, managing accounts payable/receivable, and maintaining supplier and customer records.
We are seeking an organised, reliable and hands-on Part-Time Accounts Administrator to manage the day-to-day accounting and financial administration functions across our growing group of businesses.
This is a practical role suited to someone with solid bookkeeping/accounts experience who can work independently, maintain accurate financial records and ensure key accounting tasks are completed accurately and on time.
Complete bank reconciliations and ensure transactions are kept up to date
Manage the accounts email inbox, ensuring invoices, statements and account queries are actioned promptly
Process accounts payable, including supplier invoices and preparation of payments
Manage accounts receivable, including allocating payments and following up overdue accounts
Process payroll and maintain accurate payroll records
Reconcile EFTPOS, credit card and other payment transactions
Maintain accurate customer and supplier account records
Complete supplier statement reconciliations
Process credit notes, adjustments and other accounting transactions as required
Assist with preparation of information for BAS, payroll tax, superannuation and other compliance requirements
Maintain organised accounting records and supporting documentation
Liaise with customers, suppliers and internal staff regarding account enquiries
Provide general accounts and administration support as required
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
Previous experience as an Accounts Administrator, Accounts Officer or Bookkeeper
Strong practical experience with bank reconciliations, accounts payable and accounts receivable
Payroll processing experience
Good understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles
Experience with MYOB and/or Xero would be highly regarded
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Good organisational and time-management skills
Confidence following up customers regarding outstanding accounts
Ability to work independently and take ownership of the accounts function
Good written and verbal communication skills
We are looking for someone who is hands-on, organised and accountable and takes pride in keeping the accounts function accurate and up to date.
As this is a part-time position, good time management and the ability to prioritise are particularly important. The successful candidate will be expected to ensure bank reconciliations, payroll, receivables, payables and account enquiries are managed efficiently without unnecessary outstanding items.
