Job summary

Happy Hearts Childcare & Kindergarten – Burpengary QLD is seeking an Administrator to be the friendly first point of contact for families and visitors while providing essential administrative support to the Centre. This parental leave contract runs from mid-September 2026 to March 2027 with potential extension.

The successful candidate should be committed to engaging with children and families in a variety of ways, bringing warmth, organisation and strong IT skills to daily operations.

Qualifications

  • Friendly, approachable and family-focused demeanor.
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
  • Confident using computers and administrative systems.
  • Excellent communication and time-management skills.
  • Prior childcare admin experience valued but not essential.

Responsibilities

  • Welcoming families and visitors in a warm, professional manner.
  • Answering phone calls, emails and enrolment enquiries.
  • Managing enrolments, bookings and waitlists.
  • Assisting with CCS, childcare software, and general administrative tasks.
  • Supporting management with compliance and documentation.
  • Maintaining confidentiality at all times.

The Role

As our Administrator, you will be the friendly first point of contact for families and visitors while providing essential administrative support to the Centre. This is a parental leave contract, running from the middle of September 2026 until March 2027 with the potential to extend.

Key responsibilities include:

About You:

  • Cert 3 or Diploma Qualified Essential
