Job summary

anzuk Education is partnering with MCIE to recruit an experienced Centre Director for a high-performing early learning service near Adelaide. You will lead a skilled team, drive quality outcomes, and balance operational excellence with inspirational leadership.

With a Diploma or Bachelor in Early Childhood, strong EYLF knowledge, and a commitment to continuous improvement, you will build strong relationships with families and the community while ensuring compliance and day-to-day service

Qualifications

  • Diploma or Bachelor in Early Childhood Education and Care (ACECQA-equivalent).
  • Experience leading and developing high-performing teams.
  • Strong working knowledge of the EYLF, NQS, and regulatory requirements.
  • Proven ability to drive quality improvement and maintain compliance.
  • Current First Aid, Asthma, and Anaphylaxis certifications.
  • Working With Children Check and RHHAN-EC.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a well-established, high-performing team while balancing operations and leadership.
  • Shape the Centre's vision and drive quality outcomes.
  • Maintain strong relationships with families and the wider community.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations with an Assistant Director.

The Opportunity

Working alongside a capable Assistant Director, you will ensure the smooth and efficient day‑to‑day operation of the service while fostering a culture of accountability, professionalism, and continuous improvement.

The Ideal Applicant

We are seeking a highly capable and experienced leader with a proven track record as a Centre Director in a long day care or early learning setting. You will bring a strong professional presence and the ability to lead with confidence, clarity, and integrity.

Key requirements include:

  • A Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care or Bachelor of Early Childhood Teaching (or ACECQA‑approved equivalent)
  • Demonstrated experience leading and developing high‑performing teams
  • Strong working knowledge of the EYLF, National Quality Standard, and regulatory requirements
  • Proven ability to drive quality improvement and maintain compliance
  • Current First Aid, Asthma, and Anaphylaxis certifications
  • Valid Working With Children Check and RHHAN‑EC
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
