Job summary

ANZUK Education in Adelaide seeks an experienced Centre Director to lead a new early learning centre opening Oct 2026. You will shape culture, mentor educators, and implement caring, curiosity-driven learning within EYLF and NQS frameworks.

You will manage operations on site, build strong relationships with families and staff, and lead a team from the floor when needed, while maintaining high standards of child safety and inclusivity.

Qualifications

  • Experience as Centre Manager in a long day care setting.
  • Strong knowledge of EYLF and NQS.
  • Passion for guiding children and educators.
  • Experience with new centre openings.
  • Current RRHAN, First Aid, and Working With Children Check (SA).

The Centre
This new, community-focused early learning environment, located in a beautiful pocket of Adelaide and opening in October 2026, is seeking a Centre Director to lead this exciting new chapter. This is a unique opportunity to be part of an innovative approach to early education.

The Opportunity
This is a rare opportunity for a passionate and visible leader to guide a team of dedicated educators, with a strong emphasis on being present, supportive and hands-on. You will play a key role in mentoring and empowering your team, cultivating a reflective and purposeful culture where educators feel valued and inspired.
As the face of the centre, your ability to build trusting relationships, lead with intention, and introduce meaningful practices will be essential.
We are seeking someone who is proactive, collaborative and willing to lead from the floor when needed—someone who thrives in an environment that values both structure and flexibility, and who is passionate about creating purposeful learning experiences. Ongoing professional growth is strongly supported, with opportunities to further develop your leadership and pedagogical knowledge.

The Ideal Applicant
The ideal candidate will have experience as a Centre Manager within a long day care setting. You will bring a strong understanding of early childhood frameworks alongside a genuine commitment to high-quality, child-focused education.

  • Diploma or Bachelor in Early Childhood Education (or ACECQA equivalent)
  • Strong knowledge of the EYLF and NQS
  • Passion for guiding both children and educators in a respectful, collaborative way
  • Experience with new centre openings will be highly regarded
  • Current RRHAN, First Aid, and Working With Children Check (SA)
