Job summary

ANZUK Education is seeking an Assistant Director for a brand-new early learning service in Adelaide. Working with the Centre Director, you will lead day-to-day operations, mentor educators, and drive quality practice in a collaborative, professional environment.

As a founding member of the leadership team, you will shape the centre’s culture, values and future success, ensure regulatory compliance, and support ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

  • Diploma/Bachelor in ECE or ACECQA-equivalent.
  • Experience leading and developing high-performing teams.
  • Strong knowledge of EYLF and NQS regulatory requirements.
  • Current First Aid, Asthma and Anaphylaxis certifications.
  • Working With Children Check (WWCC) & RHHAN-EC.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Working closely with the Centre Director, you will support the day-to-day operations of the service while mentoring and developing educators, driving quality practice, and fostering a collaborative and professional environment. This role is ideal for a confident leader looking to further develop their management skills within a high-quality early learning setting.

The Ideal Applicant

We are seeking a highly capable and experienced leader with a proven track record as a leader in a long day care or early learning setting. You will bring a strong professional presence and the ability to lead with confidence, clarity, and integrity.

Key Requirements
  • A Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care or Bachelor of Early Childhood Teaching (or ACECQA-approved equivalent)
  • Demonstrated experience leading and developing high-performing teams
  • Strong working knowledge of the EYLF, National Quality Standard, and regulatory requirements
  • Proven ability to drive quality improvement and maintain compliance
  • Current First Aid, Asthma, and Anaphylaxis certifications
  • Valid Working With Children Check and RHHAN-EC
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
