Job summary

Sea Swift in Cairns is seeking an Accounts Receivable Officer to join our Finance team. You will maintain accurate customer accounts, process payments (EFT, cash, card), and support credit management to improve cash flow across the business.

You will work closely with the Credit Controller and collaborate with Customer Service and Sales teams to resolve account issues, ensuring timely collections and high data integrity in SAP Business One.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in Accounts Receivable, Credit Control or Finance Administration.
• Strong reconciliation and data entry skills.
• Intermediate Excel skills, including pivot tables and lookups.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to meet deadlines in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
• SAP Business One experience desirable.
• Understanding of credit management principles.

Responsibilities

• Accounts Receivable Administration.
• Create and maintain customer accounts in SAP.
• Process and allocate EFT, cash and credit card receipts.
• Prepare and distribute monthly customer statements.
• Conduct account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• With Credit Controller, monitor debtor ageing and undertake collection activities.
• Assist in managing stop credit processes.
• Respond to trade reference requests.
• Liaise with customers regarding account enquiries.
• Partner with Customer Service and Sales to resolve account issues.
