Job summary

SEDL Agencies in Toowoomba, Queensland is seeking an organised Accounts Receivable Officer to join our finance team. You will maintain debtor accounts, process receipts, and support reconciliations across banking and online customer accounts.

Reporting to the General Manager, you’ll work Monday to Friday in a stable, local office with a supportive team and no weekend work. Attention to detail and clear communication with customers are essential.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in accounts receivable, credit control or a similar finance admin role
• Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to reconciliations
• Confidence using an ERP or accounting system and Microsoft Excel
• Clear, professional communication with customers and internal team members
• Ability to manage daily deadlines and stay flexible when the business needs it

Responsibilities

• Reviewing daily end-of-day reports and actioning any discrepancies
• Entering receipts from bank statements and balancing direct debits
• Balancing tills and EFTPOS against bank transactions
• Processing credits, rounding adjustments and petty cash
• Setting up new debtor accounts and reviewing new cash and online customer accounts
• Managing account holds and releases, and keeping the sales team informed
• Following up aged debtors professionally and promptly
• Assisting with general ledger balancing and the monthly account reconciliations
• Maintaining customer consignment and vending machine lists and contracts
• Handling customer and staff email enquiries, and collecting and distributing mail
• Covering other accounts team members during leave
