Engage Construction in Sydney's Eastern Suburbs is seeking an experienced bookkeeper to own the accounts and ensure the office runs smoothly. This full-time role, based in our Alexandria office, reports to the Operations Manager and collaborates with our external accountant.

You will manage supplier payments, payroll, BAS, and financial reporting while supporting HR/admin tasks. Construction experience is helpful but not essential; organised and confidential work is essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in bookkeeping or an accounts role.
• Payroll and BAS experience.
• Strong Xero skills.
• Dext experience is a bonus.
• HR or office admin experience.

Responsabilités

• Process supplier bills, prepare payment runs and reconcile supplier statements.
• Run weekly payroll from timesheets, including super and leave.
• Code costs to each job and prepare BAS information.
• Prepare monthly reports for Operations Manager.
• Handle onboarding and offboarding, including contracts and system access.
• Keep staff records, leave balances and probation dates up to date.
