Job summary

Miller Leith is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Officer to join the Finance team in Melbourne on a temporary contract basis. You will manage end-to-end AP processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness and compliance while supporting the wider Finance function.

In this role you will process high volumes of invoices, reconcile statements, manage the AP subledger in SAP Business One and assist with month-end activities. Strong communication and attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years experience in accounts payable or related finance role.
• Experience processing AP across multiple entities/cost centres.
• Strong working knowledge of ERP systems; SAP Business One highly regarded.
• Intermediate to advanced Excel including VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP and Pivot Tables.

Responsibilities

• Process high volumes of supplier invoices across multiple entities and cost centres.
• Match invoices to purchase orders and delivery documentation; investigate discrepancies.
• Prepare and process weekly payment runs, including EFT.
• Reconcile supplier statements and maintain vendor accounts.
• Reconcile landed costs.
• Respond to internal and external queries relating to invoices, payments and balances.
• Maintain AP subledger in SAP Business One; manage vendor master data.
• Support month-end close activities, including accruals and AP reconciliations.
• Monitor AP inbox and ensure invoices are approved per authority policies.
• Identify and implement process improvements to strengthen controls.
