Job summary

Victoria Police is seeking an Accounts Payable Officer (Finance Officer) to join its Financial Services Department. The role processes invoices, expenses, petty cash and journals, and supports internal stakeholders and suppliers using Tungsten AP Essentials and the Oracle system.

The position offers a hybrid arrangement (3 days on site, 2 days from home) or 5 days on site and is a fixed-term contract based at the Victoria Police Centre in Docklands.

Qualifications

• Experience in accounts payable or a similar finance administration role.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Strong verbal communication skills and stakeholder engagement skills are valued.

Responsibilities

• Process invoice transactions in accordance with organisational & financial policies.
• Use of Tungsten - AP Essentials and the Oracle financial System.
• Investigate, elevate, and resolve any problems encountered during processing.
• Mail and supporting admin functions.
• Processing expenses /Petty Cash/Journals.
• Handling Accounts Payable enquiries from Internal and External Customers.
• Communicating with Suppliers re best practises.
• Team collaboration.
