Job summary

Macedon Ranges Shire Council is seeking an Accounts Payable Officer to join a small, supportive finance team. You will manage end-to-end accounts payable, processing invoices, authorisations and creditor payments in line with council procedures.

The role emphasizes accuracy, efficiency and continuous improvement, with GST knowledge and experience in Excel, Microsoft 365 and TechnologyOne. Hybrid work may be available after onboarding.

Qualifications

• End-to-end accounts payable experience including invoice processing and authorisation.
• GST knowledge and financial controls are essential.
• Strong proficiency in Excel and Microsoft 365, with experience using finance systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end accounts payable activities including invoice processing and authorisation.
• Handle creditor payments, statement reconciliations and record maintenance.
• Contribute to general ledger cost allocations and system/process improvements.
• Respond to creditor and PO enquiries and provide guidance to staff.
