Job summary

Babcock Australasia is seeking an Accounts Payable Officer to join our Adelaide-based team, handling supplier invoices, expense claims and corporate card transactions. The role emphasizes accuracy, timely processing, and policy compliance in a Defence-focused environment.

You will maintain supplier data in the ERP, support approvals, and collaborate with finance for reconciliations and reporting while ensuring controls are followed. This position is office-based at Franklin Street CBD, SA.

Qualifications

• Australian Citizenship required to obtain Defence security clearance.
• Experience in Accounts Payable or Finance Operations.
• Understanding of procure-to-pay (P2P) processes.
• Experience using an ERP system.
• High level attention to detail and accuracy.
• Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills.
• Certificate IV, Diploma or tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, or Business.

Responsibilities

• Process supplier invoices accurately and within service levels.
• Investigate invoice discrepancies and ensure appropriate approvals.
• Create and maintain supplier records within the ERP system; verify banking details.
• Process corporate credit card transactions and reconcile statements.
• Process employee reimbursement claims in line with policies.
• Collaborate with finance teams to support reconciliations and reporting.
