Job summary

Bayside Council is seeking an Accounts Payable professional to support our finance team in Rockdale. You will manage invoices, credit notes, reconcile supplier accounts and prepare EFT payments to ensure timely and accurate supplier payments.

The role requires attention to detail, strong communication skills and the ability to guide internal staff on Accounts Payable processes within a 12% superannuation framework. This is a 35-hour week, 12-month parental leave cover.

Qualifications

• Higher School Certificate or equivalent.
• Experience in Accounts Payable.
• Good communication skills and ability to build relationships with Council and suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Verify and process supplier invoices and credit notes promptly and accurately.
• Prepare EFT payment runs and ensure funds are available.
• Reconcile supplier accounts and resolve discrepancies.
• Guide staff through Accounts Payable processes and respond to supplier enquiries.
• Identify and fix issues by reconciling statements and testing processes.
