Job summary

Qualifications

• Certificate, Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting.
• At least 12 months’ experience in a similar role (AP/AR).
• Understanding of accounting principles, ledger management and reconciliations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and accounting/finance software; SAP is beneficial.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills; ability to identify trends and discrepancies.
• Clear written and verbal communication; collaborative with suppliers and internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Review and process invoices, matching purchase orders and receipts, and checking coding and approvals.
• Prepare electronic payments, manage payment schedules and reconcile payment records and supplier statements.
• Resolve invoice discrepancies and payment queries while building strong supplier relationships.
• Verify employee expense reports and ensure staff credit card expenses are accurately coded.
• Follow up outstanding expenses and approvals with employees and managers.
• Maintain accurate accounts payable records, supporting documentation and finance systems.
• Provide information for audits and internal reviews, following policies and controls.
• Work across finance and other departments, contributing to process improvements and internal controls.
• Help troubleshoot accounts payable system issues and keep databases up to date.
