TimePet seeks an Accounts Officer (AR & AP) in Burleigh Heads, QLD, on a part‑time basis. The role starts with AR and expands to cover AP, reconciling accounts and supporting month‑end processes in a friendly finance team.

You will manage customer and supplier interactions, ensure accurate processing, and contribute to efficient financial operations in a wholesale pet products business.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in AR and/or AP.
• Finance or accounting background; Certificate IV or Diploma preferred.
• Strong reconciliation and communication skills.

Accounts Officer (AR & AP) – Part-Time

Burleigh Heads, QLD | Wholesale Pet Products | Certified B Corp

$35–$40 per hour + super | Minimum 3 days / 15 hours per week

We're looking for an experienced Accounts Officer to join our friendly finance team. You'll start by learning our Accounts Receivable function. The role will then grow into a broader position supporting both Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable, with exposure to reconciliations and month-end processes.

You'll be based at our Burleigh Heads office and warehouse, in a unique, pet-friendly environment.

What You'll Do

Accounts Receivable

• Allocate and reconcile customer payments accurately and promptly
• Follow up overdue accounts professionally using our debtor management system
• Prepare and issue customer statements
• Help assess new customer applications and run credit checks
• Process approved customer credits and account adjustments
• Produce AR and aged debtor reporting

Accounts Payable

• Process domestic and international supplier invoices through our approval workflow
• Maintain supplier records and payment schedules, and prepare payment runs for approval
• Reconcile supplier accounts and resolve invoice discrepancies
• Process staff reimbursements and company credit card transactions

Finance & Administration

• Support month-end processing, reconciliations, and reporting
• Handle shared inbox and phone enquiries from customers and suppliers
• Work with Sales, Warehouse, and Inventory teams to resolve order and payment issues
• Order stationery and staff amenities

What We're Looking For

• At least 2 years’ experience in accounts receivable and/or accounts payable
• A finance or accounting background (Certificate IV, Diploma, or working towards one is a plus)
• Strong reconciliation and problem-solving skills
• Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups) and high attention to detail
• Experience with supplier payments, including international payments, is highly regarded
• Clear, professional written and verbal communication, and a friendly phone manner
• A self-directed, organised approach and a team-first attitude

Experience with Pronto, Xero, or wholesale/distribution environments is desirable but not essential.
